Karim Camara is a faith-inspired activist trying to improve the human condition through many roles. He has served in the non-profit and government sector for all of his professional career. He is a spiritual teacher, state government official, and an individual and organizational success expert. In addition to professional pursuits Karim has dedicated his life and career to social justice, advocating for educational, political and criminal justice systems that serve people with equitable treatment, regardless of income or ethnicity. In 2005, Karim was elected to represent the 43rd Assembly District (Brooklyn, New York) in the New York State Assembly in which he served until 2015. He was the Chairman of the Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic and Asian Legislative Caucus and one of the Top 100 Most Powerful People in State Government.
